The scarf is 'knit' with a contrasting solid yarn in a similar light lofty gauge. We blogged about it here.
  • Skills
The hat is worked in Tunisian Crochet and seamed up the back. We've included detailed step-by-step photo instructions to get you started. Warning … once you start it's addictive.
  • Gauge/Yarn
We think the best yarn for this scarf is Cascade Mochi Chunky due to its long color changes. You'll need 3 balls of main yarn (50 yards each ) and a slightly more solid yarn.
  • Difficulty
This project is good for intermediate knitters who like to try new things. Tunisian Knitting makes a great first craft project and this scarf is perfect to start with.
  • Available Sizes
Scarf is 8" wide and 65" long. Hat comes in small, medium and large.
  • Notions
    - Standard knitting notions: One 16" long circular needle US 7-8, tapestry needle and marker.
    - Also a 14" long Tunisian Crochet Hook size O. You can find them online if you do an internet search. I found mine at Annie's Crafts. Beautiful handcrafted wooden hooks in long lengths are also available from The Bag Smith.
